Zuppler and LevelUp are enabling restaurants to offer patrons the option to pre-order and pay for food online or through mobile phones.
Conshohocken, Pa.-based Zuppler provides a white-label mobile and Web-based online ordering service for restaurants, while Boston-based LevelUp enables mobile payments and the ability to target customers with specific offers.
The companies launched their service at Boloco and Protein Bar, two fast-casual restaurants with locations nationwide.
"Until now, restaurants would typically choose between an app featuring mobile payments or online ordering, but not both," Shiva Srinivasan, founder and CEO of Zuppler, states in a May 14 press release.
Each service worked well separately in the past, but the applications now allow restaurants to capture every customer's order and "increase customer spend by using the data we're able to provide," Srinivasan adds.
The partnership allows restaurants to possess a true "commerce everywhere solution," Seth Priebatsch, CEO of LevelUp, says in the release.
"Customers can pay in-store, in-app or online and accrue/redeem rewards regardless of how they choose to pay," he adds.
