Western Union Creates Role of Chief Strategy and Product Officer

Western Union has named Elizabeth Chambers as the company’s chief strategy and product officer.

In the newly created role, Chambers will lead the investment priorities across the company and help the company pursue its omnichannel strategy in growing retail, digital and B2B businesses. She will report to Western Union chief executive and president Hikmet Ersek.

Most recently, Chambers served as chief marketing and business development officer at international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She has also previously been Barclays' chief marketing officer of retail and commercial banking and Barclaycard.

Chambers "brings an excellent track record of omnichannel development and brand transformation to the Western Union team," Ersek said in a Nov. 11 news release. "Her expertise in developing market-leading products and partnerships will be critical as we execute on our strategic vision."
