Wells Fargo is adding another onetime JPMorgan Chase executive to its operating committee — this time as its new head of human resources.
Bei Ling, who will join the $1.9 trillion-asset bank in October, will succeed
Wells Fargo’s prior HR head, David Galloreese, who joined the bank in 2018, left in April to join Figma, a digital design company.
Ling will report to Wells CEO Charlie Scharf, who said in a press release that she will help the bank “build a world-class culture and foster an inclusive environment to attract, develop, engage, and retain the best talent.”
Ling has spent the last eight years at JPMorgan. She served most recently as the company’s global head of Talent Development and Total Rewards, as well as the head of human resources for its commercial bank.
Scharf, a former protege of JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, has surrounded himself at Wells Fargo with numerous former JPMorgan executives.
