The launch of Way2ride in Philadelphia follows a successful deployment in New York, says Amos Tamam, senior vice president of taxi systems for VeriFone, in the release. After the Philadelphia launch, VeriFone plans to further expand Way2ride acceptance throughout its network of more than 70,000 payment-enabled taxis worldwide, it says.
