Verifone Hires Former Oracle Exec to Lead Software Development

Verifone has appointed former Oracle executive Christophe Job as a senior vice-president and chief technology officer in charge of global solutions delivery.

The San Jose, Calif.-based payment technology company announced the appointment on Dec. 2. According to his LinkedIn profile Job, who had worked for 20 years at Oracle, joined Verifone in August.

Job was most recently the senior vice-president of development at the Redwood City, Calif. computer technology company, where he started out as an engineer, according to LinkedIn. Verifone’s press release noted that he helped grow Oracle’s Fusion Middleware division from scratch to a $5 billion revenue enterprise.

At Verifone, he will oversee the development of software and applications to improve user experience and unclog revenue streams.

“It is a thrill to be working with the talented engineering organization and leadership team at Verifone, and an opportunity to use my expertise to further establish Verifone in application development organizations to further establish Verifone as a technology leader,” said Job in the press release.
