Vantiv Promotes Ferris to CFO, Heimbouch to Expanded COO Role

Vantiv named Stephanie Ferris chief financial officer, promoting her from deputy chief financial officer, a post she has held since September 2015.

In her new role, Ferris becomes a member of Vantiv’s executive committee and continues to report to Mark Heimbouch, chief operating officer. Heimbouch, who previously served as CFO, will now concentrate on operations and will also assume responsibility for Vantiv’s products.

Ferris was recognized this year as one of PaymentsSource’s Most Influential Women in Payments.

"This is the right time for Stephanie to take over the finance team," Heimbouch said in a press release Tuesday. "Stephanie and I have been working together since I first started at Vantiv, and I am thrilled she is taking on this important role for us."

Ferris joined Vantiv in 2009 as senior vice president and held various roles, becoming general manager of the company’s merchant bank business in 2013. Prior to Vantiv’s spinoff from Fifth Third Bank in 2009, Ferris spent eight years at the bank in different positions, rising to CFO of Fifth Third Processing Solutions.

Before joining Fifth Third, Ferris was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1995-2001.
