Sales representatives for TransFirst will sell merchant services to business customers of MainSource Bank, the Hauppauge, N.Y.-based merchant-services company announced Sept. 28.
Under the agreement, TransFirst salespeople will sell credit and debit card processing and related payment services to merchants served by the 83 branches of the Greensburg, Ind.-based bank. MainSource Bank is a unit of MainSource Financial Group.
This is the first time the two companies have worked together, according to TransFirst, which works with more than 1,000 financial institutions. TransFirst annually processes transactions valued at approximately $30 billion initiated from more than 175,000 merchant locations, the company says.
