Starbucks Adds Mobile Ordering to Android, Expands UK Coverage

Starbucks has integrated its mobile pre-ordering and payment feature into its Android app in the U.K.

Mobile Order and Pay allows users of Starbucks' mobile app to preorder and pay for their items before they visit the store, then pick up their purchase at an in-store collection point. The feature became available in the U.K. for Apple mobile devices in the fall, according to Engadget.

Additionally, Mobile Order and Pay will now be accepted at 300 Starbucks outlets across the U.K., expanding on the number that accepted it when first launched with Apple devices.

In October, Starbucks reported that over a fifth of its U.S. sales in company-owned stores were placed in the mobile app, with five million transactions per month coming via Mobile Order and Pay.
