Seamless, a Swedish maker of mobile payments software, has partnered with Xpress Money for international money transfers.
Xpress Money will use Seamless' SEQR mobile payments app to allow its customers to send funds to different countries, according to a news release.
The 2015 market for money remittances from foreign workers to family members residing in their home countries totaled $601 billion, according to Seamless. Each transfer carried an average fee of 7.37%.
Xpress Money is an instant-transfer brand with offices in 25 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, the Philippines, India and others.
