Online commercial payments service provider Payza says it will provide credit and debit payment services to European Union merchants, with plans to expand to more countries throughout the world.
European Union merchants will have access to the Payza Merchant Gateway service and its business payment module that enables businesses to accept MasterCard, Visa and JCB card payments directly into their bank account, according to a March 13 release.
Payza, which is based in the U.K., began offering its services in the U.S. last month. Over 75,000 merchants around the world use Payza to handle payments in 21 currencies, Payza says.
The EU expansion prepares Payza "to roll out this service into Canada, Australia and Brazil in the very near future," says Firoz Patel, Payza's global executive vice president, in the release.
Payza's services include recurring billing, developer tools and fraud protection.
Merchants can accept credit and debit card payments "without the hassle of managing multiple accounts at multiple institutions," Patel says. Customer support is provided via email, phone or live chat.
