The European mobile point of sale provider payworks plans to expand in the United Kingdom through the hiring of former Verifone executive Frank Landen.
"I am very excited to join the great team at payworks and help to expand the company's footprint in the United Kingdom and Ireland," said Landen, the company's new general manager in the U.K., in an Oct. 15 news release.
Payworks hopes to bring in new customers and grow its retail, electronic point of sale and acquirer audiences.
Before joining payworks, Landen headed Verifone's retail and hospitality sales in the U.K. and led the marketing of the company's PAYware Ocius point of sale hardware.
