Moneris, TouchBistro Offer iPad Payment Acceptance to Restaurants

Payment processor Moneris and restaurant hardware provider TouchBistro are partnering to provide iPad payment products for U.S. clients.

Moneris will integrate its processing system with TouchBistro's point of sale and restaurant management tools. TouchBistro's clients will also be able to connect payment acceptance with table-side management tools.

"This new integration allows us to deliver a mobile, flexible management solution that meets the emerging needs of this dynamic industry," says Chris Lee, president of North American strategic partnerships and emerging markets for Moneris, in an Aug. 6 press release.

Mobile payments companies are cooking up many new technologies for restaurants.

OpenTable is testing new mobile payments technology following its acquisition of startup JustChalo Inc. Other tech companies targeting restaurants include Eat24, Viableware, NCR, TabbedOut and MyCheck.
