Mastercard and Judopay have teamed up to enable mobile payments through The Pharmacy Centre.
The Pharmacy Centre is a provider of pharmacy websites and marketing solutions serving over 1,500 independent pharmacies across the U.K. Pharmacy Centre also offers a white-label e-commerce service that will leverage Judopay’s mobile payments platform to help drive sales among mobile-first consumers.
The Judopay platform is claimed to provide an ultra-fast setup capability that Pharmacy Centre will use to bring its solutions to its e-commerce platform for prescriptions and medical supply distribution. The long-term plan is for Judopay to expand these capabilities into a full online e-commerce suite for pharmacies and other medical service providers.
“Our partnership with The Pharmacy Centre is solving a clear challenge in the market by removing any potential risk of infection when customers are purchasing their essential medical goods,” Judopay CEO Jeremy Nicholds said in a press release.
Mastercard is supporting Judopay’s platform by enabling its remote PaybyLink and other digital payment methods. This will allow customers to buy their essential supplies online and have them delivered directly to their door.
