Kasasa Adds Incentives for Community Bank Credit Cards

Financial technology and marketing provider Kasasa has launched a Credit Card As A Qualifier option for its community financial institution customers.

The Austin, Texas-based company, formerly known as BancVue, will now allow accountholders to use their institution-issued credit card to qualify for rewards. The new offering is designed to encourage financial institutions’ customers to adopt credit cards and to use them, which in turn drives interest and noninterest income for the issuer.

The Credit Card As A Qualifier option is available with Kasasa Cash, Kasasa Cash Back and Kasasa Tunes accounts.

“Through CCAAQ, Kasasa institutions now have the opportunity to increase interchange revenue, credit card loan balances and product penetration per consumer while providing accountholders with a product unique to their marketplace,” Kasasa chief executive Gabe Krajicek said in a news release. "Our goal is to provide CFIs with products that deliver a compelling consumer value, and with CCAAQ, they now have another tool to do so.”

Nearly 375 community banks and credit unions currently offer Kasasa's rewards checking and savings accounts.
