JetPay Names Former Heartland Exec to Tech Post

JetPay Payment Services has chosen debit technology and processing veteran Thomas Tesmer as its new chief operating officer.

At JetPay, Tesmer will lead the technology, transaction processing, and operations for the company's payment services division. JetPay's recent initiatives include a flexible prepaid card aimed at consumers that had previously used payroll cards.

Tesmer brings 40 years of experience to the Berwyn, Pa.-based HetPay. Among his many roles in the payments industry, Tesmer was the technical architect and director for the HONOR debit interchange switch in the 1980s and the founder and president of TransNet (now Paymentech) in the 1990s.

He more recently served as executive vice president and architect of the Heartland Payment Systems payments processing platform.
