Ingenico has created two business units to manage retail and acquiring as the use of cross-channel commerce accelerates, and has hired longtime payments executive Jennifer Miles.
Miles will join Ingenico during the second half of 2017, after "honoring contractual obligations to her former employer," Ingenico said in a Feb 23 release.Miles, who will be executive vice president of North America, has been a longtime executive at Ingenico's rival, Verifone, and has also worked for Wachovia over the course of a 20-year career. In her previous role, Miles helped guide Verifone's strategies for EMV and mobile payments. At Ingenico, Miles will help lead the company's expansion in the U.S. and will also guide Ingenico business units such as its Roam mobile point of sale service.

The global retail business unit will help retailers and digital merchants execute cross-border sales and improve conversion rates through a mix of terminals, in-store and online payments.
The global banks and acquirers business unit will address bank-led acquiring and merchant services. It will include the company's Landi Chinese subsidiary to offer a range of terminals, design and after-sales services.
Ingenico has appointed Patrice Le Marre to be executive vice president of the banks and acquirers unit, while Pierre-Antoine Vacheron will be executive vice president of the retail Business Unit.
