German payments processor B&S Card Service GmbH plans to implement Payware TCS, a software-management component of VeriFone System Inc.’s Paymedia Universal Acceptance Platform, to manage applications centrally on merchant payment terminals, VeriFone announced Feb. 28.
B&S Card Service transacts and processes credit card payments and e-commerce and mail-order transactions. In addition, the company processes mobile payments for debit and fleet/fuel cards in the transportation industry.
Payware TCS enables network service providers to manage payment functions remotely at merchant locations equipped with VeriFone’s Artema Hybrid and H5000 terminals. Payware provides a process to deploy new applications and update existing ones, including the future management of Near Field Communication applications at merchant sites, San Jose, Calif.-based VeriFone stated in a press release.

Based on European standards, Payware allows multinational retailers to coordinate their payment systems in multiple countries to be ready for the Single Euro Payment Area in Europe, the press release stated.
