Online food ordering platform Hungryhouse has expanded its payment offerings to include PayPal, Apple Pay and American Express.
The British company was able to add Apple Pay and PayPal through a relationship with payments technology company Braintree. Hungryhouse customers can now choose to use bank transfers, credit or debit cards to make payments.
Additionally, with PayPal they can use money in their PayPal accounts to make payments. The integration with PayPal also allows customers to earn loyalty points on their credit cards.
Hungryhouse chief executive Scott Fletcher singled out the company's relationship with Braintree as important to growing its business. Braintree's payments and merchant developer tools have become a major part of
"Braintree helped us quickly implement leading payment options such as PayPal, which has been requested a lot from our users and is already proving evident in the large share of people selecting the option at checkout," Fletcher said in a September 28 news release. "These results are great and just show that by listening to our customers and working to deliver their requests before some of our key competitors, we can continue to be one of the leaders paving the way in our industry."
