Dollar General Offering Reloadable Prepaid Cards From NFinanSe

Dollar General Corp. discount stores nationwide have begun offering Visa-branded reloadable prepaid cards, card-program provider nFinanSe Inc. announced Dec. 14.

The cards sell for $3, and NFinanSe does not charge purchase-transaction fees. However, it does charge a monthly $2.95 maintenance fee, $2.95 for account reloads and 99 cents per ATM withdrawal. The ATM owner also might assess a surcharge fee.

Cardholder may reload their card accounts at any Dollar General location. Dollar General has locations in 35 states.

Palm Desert (Calif.) National Bank issues the cards.
