OnPoint Community Credit Union, Oregon's largest credit union based on
membership, Wednesday announced it signed an outsourcing agreement with
Diebold Inc. The agreement calls for North Canton, Ohio-based Diebold to sell
envelope-free Opteva ATMs to OnPoint. The Optevas also will accept bulk check and
cash deposits of up to 30 bank notes or checks at one time.
Diebold also will manage the Portland based credit union's ATM network. OnPoint
has 45 ATMs, but the credit union plans to add 30 by 2011. It recently joined
MoneyPass, the surcharge-free network, which has more than 13,000 ATMs. As
part of the outsourcing partnership, Diebold Integrated Services will provide remote
and on-call maintenance, manage armored car service, provide ATM and debit card
processing, meet with clients, and provide helpdesk support. OnPoint has 186,000
members.
