Bank Machine has signed a new, multiyear deal with Yorkshire Building Society, a United-Kingdom-based financial-services institution, to take over the management of Yorkshire’s 20 ATMs, parent Cardtronics Inc. announced Feb. 1.
The UK-based ATM operator will provide Yorkshire maintenance and cash delivery through its in-house cash-in-transit company, Green Team.
The Yorkshire Building Society contract represents Bank Machine’s first in the managed-services sector. Besides the 20 ATMs located in its branches today, Yorkshire Building Society has expressed interest in expanding ATM access to more of its 178 branches, with any new ATMs to be operated by Bank Machine on the society’s behalf, Cardtronics notes in a Feb. 1 press release.
Bank Machine operates over 3,000 ATMs throughout the UK.
