Boku has signed direct carrier billing agreements with the leading telcos in India.
Boku, which is based in San Francisco, said July 30 that these deals cover 75% of the country's mobile subscribers. Boku's technology allows users to charge payments directly to a wireless phone bill and can be used with both pre and post-paid billing plans.

"Now that our integration is complete we are providing existing Boku merchants with the very best access to the Indian market," said Jon Prideaux, chief executive of Boku, in a July 30 press release.
Boku will allow merchants around the world to sell goods to Indian customers. In addition, merchants based in India can connect with Bokus more than 250 mobile network operators around the world to sell their own goods and services, Boku said.
This integration also advances Bokus expanding footprint across Asian markets, including Japan and Singapore. Operations in India will also serve the Middle East.
