BluePay has developed a processing product designed to help nonprofit organizations increase funding and decrease expenses by enabling consumers to set up reoccurring donations, according to the company.
The Naperville, Ill.-based payment processor will host a nonprofit’s payment page on its secure servers, eliminating the need for the nonprofit to handle transaction data. Nonprofits can link to the donation pages from their own Web sites, according to the processor.
BluePay customizes each donation page to match the look of the nonprofit’s Web site. “The non-for-profits we process for have noticed an increase in funding and a decrease in the expenses associated with outbound calls and mailers to existing donors to ask for another donation,” says Kristen Gramigna, BluePay director.
Donors can set up annual, quarterly, monthly or daily donations and pay using a payment card or the account and bank-routing information from a personal check. Gramigna declined to name BluePay’s nonprofit customers. Nonprofits must pay processing rates and fees, she says, declining to disclose specifics.
