ACI Worldwide has named technology veteran Marco Bravo vice president for its Latin America division.
The Naples, Fla.-based electronic payments technology company announced the appointment in a July 5 news release. Bravo has been with ACI since March, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Bravo, a technology sales veteran of some 30 years in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, framed his move to payments as an opportunity to help the industry keep up with consumers' digital preferences and behavioral trends.
“Latin America’s financial institutions, intermediaries and merchants are poised to participate in the reinvention of payments," he said in the release. "Driven by the real-time expectations of today’s consumers both within this region and worldwide, ACI sees huge potential to equip customers to transform their payments systems—to take advantage of this disruption opportunity for real-time, any-to-any payments."
Bravo previously led sales for Microsoft Brasil's enterprise and partner group. Before that, he served as software solution sales and business development director for IBM’s Latin America software group.
