It's one of the most divisive issues across America and continues to polarize employers and employees alike. Yes, we're talking about remote work.
While face masks and social distancing are all but a distant memory, working from home in all its variants has stuck around. That's despite various measures to get workers back in the office including RTO (return to office) mandates, warning employees that they won't be eligible for promotion if they continue to work remotely (Dell), and even dismissal.
For the most part, companies understand that blending remote work with in-office work affords the best of both worlds and
However, one area where many remote and hybrid workers struggle is feeling a sense of belonging and being part of a team, something that is essential if remote work is to succeed as a viable alternative to in-office work in the future.

Collaborating with others to create something new will also help you nurture a closer bond with your colleagues.
Be realistic
If you've been making a huge effort to get to know your colleagues better but you're struggling ro do so due to lack of support from management or a culture that doesn't encourage collaboration and connection, it could be time to admit defeat and make peace with the fact that your role is remote in the figurative and literal sense.
Or you could move to a company where this isn't the case. Either way, if you find yourself wondering what it would be like to work elsewhere, focus your search on the
