Wintrust Financial Corp. in Lake Forest, Ill., has agreed to buy the trust operations of Suburban Bank & Trust Co. in Elmhurst, Ill.
Wintrust said in a Friday regulatory filing that it also agreed to buy a Suburban branch in Orland Park, Ill., with $50 million in deposits and about $4 million in performing loans.
The trust operation includes about $160 million of assets under administration, along with land trust accounts and various other assets.
Wintrust did not say how much it would pay, though the filing said the company did not expect the acquisitions to have a material impact on its 2012 results or earnings per share. Wintrust expects to complete the acquisitions in the first quarter.
