Wells Fargo has named Kyle Hranicky chief of its corporate banking group.
He succeeds Mike Johnson, who the company had said in March would retire by June 30 after spending 32 years with Wells.
Hranicky came to Wells' commercial banking business in 1995 and began directing the company's energy group in Houston in 2006. In his new job he will oversee a group that makes loans and provides asset, treasury and risk management services to corporate clients.
Bart Schouest will take over Hranicky's position at the energy group; Schouest had been deputy director since 2012. Schouest joined Wells that same year, when it acquired BNP Paribas' North American energy business. He has also led the oil and gas division and large corporate energy and power division.
