U.S. Bank Names Corporate Payments Chief

U.S. Bank has promoted Jeffrey W. Jones to president of its corporate payment systems group after he spent nearly 15 years as head of global treasury management.

Jones is replacing Kurt Adams, who resigned from the $419 billion-asset bank earlier this year and in September became the president of the payments-services provider Comdata Corporate Payments.

U.S. Bank's corporate-payment group offers travel, purchasing, fleet and aviation charge cards among other payment products and virtual accounts. The group processed $56.3 billion of payments last year.

Jones has been with U.S. Bank, the main banking unit of U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis, since 1983 and held several roles in wholesale banking before he began leading treasury management in 2001.
