U.S. Bank Launches Mobile Phone Upgrade

U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis released a new mobile banking application as a part of a series of upgrades planned for its mobile banking over the next several months. The updates will be made to the bank's apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices.

The new app will include old features, such as mobile check deposit, according to a press release on Monday. Customers will be able to deposit checks on their iPhones and Androids using the phone's camera and they will be able to deposit checks via the iPad in January.

U.S. Bank customers also will be able to send money to others using the recipient's mobile number or email address via a person-to-person payment feature. Additionally, people will be able to log into mobile banking using the same credentials they use for Internet banking.
