TD Retail Card Services in Mahwah, N.J., said on Wednesday that it will develop and administer a private-label credit card program for retailer Ashley Furniture Industries Inc.
Under the agreement, TD will provide several custom financing options and special incentives and offers for Furnish123, which is one of Ashley Furniture's brands. TD will only issue cards for Furnish123, not for all of Ashley Furniture's stores.
The deal is TD's latest agreement to issue private-label cards for a specialty retailer. Since February, the bank has signed deals with home furnishings and mattress purchasing cooperative Furniture First, retail jeweler Bailey Banks & Biddle and recreational vehicle and cargo trailer manufacturer Forest River Inc.
In August, bank parent Toronto-Dominion agreed to buy Bank of America Corp.'s Canadian credit card business.
