Synovus Financial in Columbus, Ga., has a new chief executive for its Tallahassee State Bank.
The $27 billion-asset company said in a press release that Matt Brown previously served as a market president at Centennial Bank in Tallahassee, Fla. Brown's experience also includes stints as CEO at Premier Bank in Tallahassee and Riverside Bank of the Gulf Coast in Cape Coral, Fla.
Tallahassee State Bank has four branches.
Brown's "extensive banking knowledge and legacy of community leadership in this market will elevate the bank to a new level of growth and excellence in customer service in the North Florida region," R. Dallis Copeland Jr., Synovus' chief community banking officer, said in the release."
A Synovus spokesman said that Brown succeeded Sharon Weeden.
