Southside Bancshares in Tyler, Texas, has given its chief financial officer the additional title of president.
The $4.8 billion-asset holding company for Southside Bank gave Lee Gibson the additional titles of president of both the holding company and Southside Bank. The 59-year-old Gibson will also remain CFO of the holding company and bank.
Sam Dawson will remain chief executive of the holding company and bank.
Gibson has worked for Southside since 1984 and has been CFO since 2000.
