South Shore Bank in Mass. Taps New CEO and COO

South Shore Bank in South Weymouth, Mass., has named new chief executive and chief operating officers.

James Dunphy succeeds the retiring John Boucher as CEO and president of the $1 billion-asset bank. South Shore also promoted Pamela O'Leary to COO and chief technology officer.

Dunphy has been an executive vice president at South Shore since January 2014; he was president and CEO of Hampshire First Bank from 2006 to 2012.

Boucher has worked at South Shore for 42 years, the last seven years as president and CEO.

O'Leary will replace the retiring Chris Dunn as COO. In both her new positions, she will handle strategic delivery of technology products and services and overall bank operations. She had been South Shore's chief information officer since 2004.
