S&T in Pennsylvania Hires Two New Lenders

S&T Bank in Indiana, Pa., has added two lenders as it continues to expand its commercial lending business.

Greg Vallecorsa was named commercial lender and Rob Balazentis was appointed community lender, the $4.3 billion-asset S&T, a unit of S&T Bancorp (STBA), said Tuesday. Both were made vice presidents.

Vallecorsa will be responsible for maintaining and growing commercial loans and deposits. Before joining S&T, Vallecorsa served as relationship manager at another regional financial institution where he managed a variety of customer loan portfolios and worked to grow the bank's commercial credit accounts.

Balazentis will establish new relationships with local businesses in addition to growing existing relationships. He was previously a business banking officer at another bank where he created and developed new customer relationships.

S&T has been bulking up in the commercial lending area. It recently purchased Gateway Bank of Pennsylvania largely because of that bank's emphasis on commercial lending. It also said in August that it had expanded its commercial loan business into northeast Ohio by opening an office in Akron.
