The Kardashian sisters, of reality television fame, now have their own prepaid card.
The trio have agreed to endorse a card marketed by Mobile Resource Card of Fresno, Calif., and issued by University National Bank of St. Paul, Minn. It will have MasterCard Inc.'s brand.
One of the Kardashian sisters, Kim, touted the cards' mobile account access features in a blog post that announced the product.
"To me, the coolest thing about this prepaid card is … you can transfer your money between your accounts when you need it," she wrote. "It's like having an ATM in your phone, LOL. No one likes going to banks and ATMs and we're constantly on our phones, so why not make it easy to manage your money from your mobile!?"
In this way, the Kardashians' card would fit with a trend of prepaid cards offering features that mimic or even go ahead of what banks offer for online or mobile access.
A Mobile Resource Card spokeswoman said the card, which will be available Nov. 10, would be her company's flagship product.
