Pennsylvania Bank Debuts Mobile Photo Bill Payment

Mobile bill payment using photos has come to Customers Bank in Wyomissing, Pa.

Picture Pay, the name of the feature built by Malauzai Software for the $3.8 billion-assets bank, works the way others of its ilk do: a customer takes a picture of an invoice, selects the account from which to draw funds, enters the amount and hits submit.

Picture Pay is live at several banks, including U.S. Bank, City Bank Texas and First Financial Bankshares (FFIN) in Texas.

At Customer Bank, a number of less typical mobile banking features are also made available to customers, including a four-digit PIN to unlock an app (Frost Bank and FFIN also have this feature) and quick access, which lets bank customers check balances without logging into the app (Bank of the West makes such functionality available) as well as the ability to reset passwords on their mobile devices.
