Opus Bank in California Relocates Headquarters

Opus Bank said Tuesday that it had moved its headquarters 40 miles southwest to Irvine, Calif., from Redondo Beach.

The change took place in September. The bank's former headquarters remain open as a full service branch. The $2.2 billion-asset bank said in a press release that the move made it the biggest bank based in Orange County.

During the past year, Opus Bank has grown to 29 branches from five offices. In June, it acquired Cascade Bank in Everett, Wash. It also has an agreement to buy the $640.3 million-asset Fullerton Community Bank in Fullerton, Calif., in a deal that is expected to close during the fourth quarter.
