NCR has launched a new automated teller machine in North America designed to improve the consumer experience and reduce costs associated with operating the ATM network.
The SelfServ 23 contains updated software and security features and is fully compliant with the EMV chip-card standard. The ATM protects potential points of compromise from insider attacks such as cash trapping, card skimming and dispenser manipulations.
Additionally, the SelfServ 23 includes NCR's S2 Media Dispense Module, which allows a cassette to dispense as many as 60 notes in a single transaction. The new machine also provides staff with a video for routine maintenance.
"The SelfServ 23 helps financial institutions meet the challenges of growth, operational efficiency and responsibility to their customers," Adam Crighton, general manager of financial services hardware at NCR, said in a Feb. 9 press release.
