JPMorgan Chase & Co. has started offering a reward program that lets people earn points on multiple accounts.
The Chase Exclusives program, announced Tuesday, is meant to encourage customers to conduct more business with the New York company.
Checking customers can get discounts on mortgages, home equity lines, auto loans, and personal loans through the rewards program.
Customers also can earn rewards on debit card purchases, higher certificate of deposit rates, no-fee individual retirement accounts, higher rewards for some credit card purchases, and a free investment portfolio review.
"Our checking customers are the foundation of our business," Michael Cleary, JPMorgan Chase's head of product development and marketing for its consumer bank, said in a press release. "We created Chase Exclusives to deepen our relationship by delivering benefits that are real, quantifiable, and immediate."
Several other banking companies offer reward programs tied to multiple accounts. Citigroup Inc. pioneered the concept several years ago with its Thank You program.
