In Brief: Financial Services Chief Leaves E-Trade

E-Trade Financial Corp said that Lou Klobuchar, the president of its financial services unit, left this week.

Mr. Klobuchar, who reported to E-Trade's president, Jarrett Lilien, has retired, the New York company said in a regulatory filing Wednesday.

"With Mr. Klobuchar's retirement, Mr. Lilien will continue his overall responsibility for execution of the company's retail strategy without interruption," E-Trade said in the filing.

Mr. Klobuchar oversaw all businesses serving retail customers at E-Trade, which he joined in 2001 when it acquired the stock trader Dempsey & Co.
