WASHINGTON - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is offering a CD-ROM version of its Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator designed for use by bank personnel.
The program, developed in response to requests from the industry, was already available at the FDIC's Web site. It enables users to calculate deposit insurance coverage for single or joint account ownership, testamentary, and individual retirement accounts.
The CD version lets users enter depositor account information faster and provide a printable report that for customers. A free copy can be ordered at www2.fdic.gov/esaedieregister or can be requested by fax or mail.
