NCR Corp. and Fujitsu Ltd. have started offering their first joint product, a cash deposit and recycling machine, which will initially be marketed in Germany and Switzerland. The machine sorts and recycles up to 200 cash notes for withdrawals. It holds up to 9,200 notes at a time.
The Dayton, Ohio, automated teller machine manufacturer and the Japanese technology company signed an agreement two years ago to collaborate on research and designs for ATMs. Fujitsu ATMs have recycled cash for several years. Wynne Evans, a spokesman for NCR, said the companies restructured the recycling technology.
