In Brief: Amica Mutual's CEO Sets Feb. Retirement

Thomas A. Taylor, the president and chief executive officer of Amica Mutual Insurance Co. in Lincoln, R.I., announced his plan Tuesday to retire from the company on Feb. 10, and Amica's board said it has chosen Robert A. DiMuccio, an executive vice president and former chief financial officer and treasurer, to succeed him.

Mr. Taylor, 62, has been president and chief executive officer of Amica for 10 years and has worked at Amica for 35 years in all. He is to remain a director after Feb. 10.

Mr. DiMuccio, 47, joined Amica in 1991 as a vice president from the KPMG accounting firm where he was a partner.

Succeeding Mr. DiMuccio as executive vice president will be M. Stuart Towsey who is a senior vice president and the superintendent of claims.
