ADP Benefit Services, a division of Roseland, N.J.-based Automatic Data Processing, said Tuesday that it has introduced a cost-modeling tool to enhance its Web-based benefits services for health-plan customers.
Through a partnership with Subimo, a Chicago provider of Web-based health-care decision support tools, cost-modeling is to be integrated with ADP's Web-based benefits enrollment application to let employees evaluate health-care plans based on individual medical needs and out-of-pocket expenses.
A similar Subimo partnership was unveiled last week by WellPoint Inc., an Indianapolis-based insurer that said the alliance would let its members research health plans and compare quality, safety, and cost information for hospitals. Customers will also be able to look up national-average drug prices and drug treatment options and review cost estimates and quality indicators for specific types of plans.
