ICVerify Inc. said it has begun shipping NetVerify, its credit card processing software for Internet commerce.
Replicating the company's conventional card authorization and processing capabilities, NetVerify can handle Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Carte Blanche, JCB, and private-label card transactions from on-line merchants and Internet service providers.
Karen Tate, ICVerify's director of Internet markets, said beta-test users praised NetVerify's "ease of installation, integration, and use."
Among those providing testimonials was Barry Wadman, founder of Web site developer C-Systems Inc. and author of two books on the Microsoft electronic commerce platform.
He said NetVerify's real-time credit card processing is "the functionality that Internet merchants need" and "makes it easy for stand- alone merchants or hosted merchants to administer their systems."
NetVerify can be integrated with virtual storefronts from Microsoft, Oracle Corp., Internet Factory, InterShop Communications, and Mercantec.
