The restaurant chain P.F. Chang's has confirmed that the data breach it discovered Tuesday involved the theft of credit and debit cards.

Home Depot is working with banks and law enforcement agencies to investigate a potential theft of its customers' credit and debit card information.
"At this point, I can confirm that we're looking into some unusual activity and we are working with our banking partners and law enforcement to investigate," said Paula Drake, a Home Depot spokeswoman, in an emailed statement Tuesday. "Protecting our customers' information is something we take extremely seriously, and we are aggressively gathering facts at this point while working to protect customers."

Citing multiple unnamed sources, Krebs reported that several banks have found evidence naming Home Depot as the source of stolen credit card data that went on sale Tuesday in an underground market.
The incident may have been carried out by the same Russian and Ukrainian groups responsible for recent data breaches at major retailers, including Target, Sally Beauty and P.F. Chang's, according to the report.
