Founder of Jack Henry Dies at 71

John W. "Jack" Henry, the co-founder and acting vice chairman, of the Monett, Mo., banking technology provider and outsourcer Jack Henry & Associates Inc., died Friday of natural causes at age 71.

Mr. Henry founded the company in 1976 with Jerry Hall, the company's executive vice president. Though he was no longer involved in its daily operations, Mr. Henry maintained on office at its headquarters.

"I will miss him both as a business partner and a friend," Mr. Hall said in a statement. "He will be missed by all who have been touched by his warmth, humor, and charisma."
