Alex W. "Pete" Hart, a former chief executive of MasterCard Inc., has been elected to the board of directors at the mobile imaging vendor Mitek Systems Inc.
Mitek in San Diego provides the technology behind most banks' mobile remote check deposit services. Hart is currently chairman of SVB Financial Group
"As we expand the breadth and depth of our mobile-capture products, we felt it was wise to avail ourselves of Pete's expertise and experience in payments," James B. DeBello, the president and CEO of Mitek, said Tuesday in a press release.
Shareholders elected Hart at Mitek's annual meeting, which was held on Feb. 23.
