First Data has reached an agreement to provide credit card processing and related services to First Niagara Bank in Buffalo, N.Y.
In addition to core issuer credit card processing services, First Data will provide web self-service tools for cardholders and fraud detection and prevention and other risk management services to the bank, a unit of First Niagara Financial Group (FNFG), First Data said Tuesday. It will also provide customer care through IVR and live agent services, statement production and loyalty services for First Niagara's credit card accounts.
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. First Data also provides merchant acquiring processing services to the $35.5 billion-asset First Niagara.
