First Financial Bancorp in Cincinnati has added two directors from recent acquisitions in Columbus, Ohio.
Peter E. Geier and Jeffrey D. Meyer have joined the boards of the $6.5 billion-asset company and its banking unit, First Financial Bank, according to a press release this week.
Geier was a director of Insight Bank, and Meyer was a director of The First Bexley Bank; First Financial bought the Columbus banks in August.
"We look forward to their vision, leadership and wide range of experience as we continue to build the First brand of banking in Columbus, Ohio and across our footprint," said Murph Knapke, the chairman of First Financial Bancorp.
Geier currently serves as the chief executive of Ohio State University's health system and chief operating officer of the Wexner Medical Center. He is also a former president and vice chairman at Huntington Bank in Columbus.
Meyer is the president of the real estate firm Clean Title Agency as well as a principal at another four Columbus-based title agencies and at a Chicago firm. Meyer has previously served at Lexford Residential Trust, which later became Equity Residential; and practiced corporate and real estate law at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff.
First Financial offers commercial, consumer, wealth management and mortgage banking services through its 105 branches in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
